The Price of Liberty
by Freedom Fighter

A Staff Sergeant of World War Two, William L. Roberts said it best, after living through one of the most bloodiest wars the world has known. "Freedom isn't free. It's paid for in blood."

This was also known by our Founding Fathers, back when the Declaration of Independence was written. An armed response was expected, and it came. The year of 1776 became immortal in future generations of Americans, remembered with pride and with a resounding commitment that Freedom is won for the entire future of our new country.

Today, our Leaders have started America down a different path. There is no real place in recent history to really draw the line and say, "This is the point we forgot ourselves." It was crossed none the less, and now the affects are apparent. Americans have to protect themselves from their own Government.

Kelo vs New London is where a key phrase of the Fifth Amendment is destroyed, as our Government justifies the taking of land for other private owners who can generate more taxes. Land that has been in families for well over a hundred years, gone, without just compensation. Now, it can happen. Our right to private property has power no longer.

States and local authorities are getting away with warrantless searches and siezures, breaking our Civil Liberties under the color of law. Getting away with it. As it happened for Lynnae and Emily Lake. Social Workers with such powers unimagined, to destroy families. Or kill a child, like Logan Marr. Witness the silent empire, under the guise of protecting children, doing just the opposite. Parents who are innocent and done nothing wrong, watch their kids taken away. Those Parents, like the ones involved in the American Family Rights Association, are ignored by the media and their unheard cries of injustice.

Now the Real ID Act. The control is total on May 11, 2008, when this goes into full effect. It happens to be Mother's Day. On this respected day, Americans will have to surrender their Civil Liberties for the rest of our existence. Rights to privacy no longer have any power. A National ID for every American.

Other countries who have a National ID are many. To mention a few, Veitnam, China and Syria. Do we really want to be like them? Are their countries safe? Are their citizens happy?

If we bow to this final tyranny, it will be an insult to the men and women of our past who secured our freedom with their blood. Paid in full, sacrifices all ready made, we had the ultimate dream. We cannot let fear destroy that. Americans need to open their eyes, listen to their hearts, and stand up for what the late William L Roberts stood up for. Or George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

If we don't bring an end to these Liberty destroying times by repealing these evil laws, we are bound by destiny to pay the price again. Maybe not the people right now. Not you or I. But our Children's families. Your grandkids and great-grandkids.

We can save our future today without such a high price, but only if we act as one people, one voice, to re-secure our Liberties as it was meant to be. We cannot delay, we cannot hesitiate, becuase if we do, we may all ready be committed to that grim future. Where battles are fought to gain back the Freedom we let slip through our fingers. Paid once again, in blood.
