Richard Hawkins was born in Aurora, Colorado and grew up in Littleton, Colorado in a quiet little neighborhood nobody has ever heard of called Columbine Knolls. He has been married to the same woman for twenty-six years, and worked for the same aerospace company for twenty-eight. His primary interests over the years have been his family, sociology, mastering his survival skills, windsurfing, music, politics, raising wolves, art of all types, mycology, perma-culture, archeological anomalies, geo-politics and staying gainfully employed; not necessarily in that order. He often describes himself as a separate subspecies of human – ‘Eclecticus-Iconoclastimus’. His primary driving force is his unwavering belief that as sovereign citizens we are each responsible not only for our own beliefs and actions, but where those beliefs and actions take us in life: That the truly intelligent person learns to determine what the consequences might be for our beliefs and actions and then acts accordingly. Our individual actions always affect far more than we can imagine. R.A. Hawkins is the author of "Through Eyes of Shiva," available via Amazon.com. Merging With The Herds…All Of Them
(A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing)

Last night I watched the History Channel’s show on Mussolini. He viewed himself as a modern day Caesar and was photographed by a statue of Caesar many times. How is it that he came to power? The people feared the possibility of the Communists taking over more than anything. He offered the alternative, Communism-Lite. That would be Socialism, by the way. One has to wonder how he managed to do that so here it is, along with a warning and comment about the masses.

Mussolini wrote as a journalist for many Socialist papers. He recognized the power of the media long before anyone else. His father was a staunch Socialist and drove those values into his son's head with a ten-pound hammer. For years, Mussolini had been anti-war, but then he suddenly wanted to fight and actually joined in the fight in World War I. He knew that he could contradict himself with no problem at all and did so quite often. It just depended on whom he was talking to as to what his views actually were. He was involved in an incident that is quite familiar to me now. Most of the men around him were killed, while he survived. He ended up with forty or so fragments of a mortar round in him. According to one account the injuries were band-aid fixes, while serious according to another one. He was now a war hero. He came home and began talking about the welfare of the soldiers. His popularity began to grow. He had managed to hit the nerve he was after. Through this he was able rise to power. He was helped by the fact that Italy was in a state of economic collapse at that time. He fought Communism and gave the people Communism-Lite…Socialism. He blamed wealthy industrialists and eventually Jews for all of the woes of their society.

He sure does sound like Kerry to me. I would like to make a point here regarding Kerry’s service to the country during the Vietnam War. Kerry is, and should be, proud of his service for the country. He should slink away in shame for what he did when he returned from the war, however. He rubbed elbows with the Vietcong and many of our enemies, and even spoke before the Senate about alleged atrocities that our troops committed in Vietnam. Most of it never happened, and I suspect his head was filled with agitprop garbage by the Communists he rubbed elbows with in Paris. Nixon had him pegged as a very dangerous man for this country. Kerry, like Mussolini contradicts himself on a regular basis.

Like Clinton we are now seeing pictures of Kerry with guns. Don’t be fooled. The law he himself cosponsored would have outlawed the gun he was holding in those photo-ops. That bill number by the way was S 1431, which can be found at http://www.congress.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d108:SN01431:@@@P. Kerry voted against every weapons system that made the Iraq War go so darn fast. Yes, we’re still having problems but that’s war now isn’t it?

Oh yes and like Clinton who spent time in Russia and organized a lot of Vietnam protests, Kerry has been no different. The rest of his friends on the left are also strutting their pro military stuff by trying to make women register for the draft. “Death to Rosie the Riveter?” Go to Thomas.loc.gov and paste these two bill numbers in one at a time: HR 163 and S. 89.  See who wrote and who cosponsored these bills. I’ll give you a clue -- they’re all liberals. Bookmark this site and go there often. When you read a commentary about a bill, demand the actual bill number they are quoting from and read the original. Don’t swallow some else’s stupidity. Remember also that we in this country are still trying to get over what the left did to us for forty years.

Agitprop only works on stupid and emotionally driven people. Don’t wear your ignorance like a badge. Grow up, and don’t accept greasy political double speak tricks as fact. Remember, be responsible and bear in mind that tricks are for kids not adults. The left in their years of treason looked away when Russia cheated on the ABM treaty. Bush is getting us out of that silliness finally. That is one of the things I really do like about him. Bush at times is accused of saying things that many say are socialist and if you don’t understand why, here is the reason:

Listen to the people around you right now. Most of them don’t know the difference between Capitalism and Socialism. They are also unaware of the differences between your money and theirs. They are more than happy to vote to remove money from your pocket only to put it in theirs using the government as their thief. There has been a sea change in America. We became Amerika through the public school system. Bush sounds the way he does to address those people in terms that they understand and accept.

Remember one other thing as Kerry shifts all over the political map. When he contradicts himself openly, he is calling each and every one of us stupid. He is telling us that we won’t even catch him at it. Just like Mussolini.

Many say these days that the Oligarchs of America are ruling everything from behind the scenes. Many of them supposedly are supporting Bush. Well the Oligarchs that are supporting Kerry are all across the ocean. Let me give you a little suggestion here. Vote for the one that our Oligarchs are supposedly supporting. You’ll never get your rope around the necks across the sea and they know it. The ones here have to worry about us, and that’s the way it’s supposed to be.

PS. September 13th has arrived and no new gun laws in spite of many predictions by the nervous Nellies, who I never had much patience for anyway. You can all take your predictions and put them right back where you got them from! The sun has set on the Assault Weapons Ban!

Kerry L. Marsala:
Pill Popping Our Children into Emotional Rescue

Today might seem to be a day like any other day, but all across this nation our public schools are reaping what we've so carelessly sown as parents.

There are sixth graders having sex before comprehension of consequences, and there are seventh grade students lying in hospital beds after a Wednesday morning "cat fight" at a local Jr. High School. We've first graders lashing out in anger at their teachers, and we've police officers being called in because fourth grade students are threatening their teachers with physical harm. Jr. Highs are practicing lockdowns as routinely as fire drills. High Schools have weapons and narcotic shakedowns on a regular basis to keep the students under control. Almost every campus in America—from High School down to grade school—have police officers patrolling their campuses, ticking their walks to the beat of our school time clocks.

America's children are exploding emotionally. What are we as their parents going to do?

As the teachers try and schedule conferences with the student's parents for the first time, the reasons for our problems become clear. The rising numbers of parents who don't show interest in their children's academic achievements or needs have quadrupled in the last couple of years. These children are falling quickly through the cracks and are being sucked down the abyss of, "No one cares about me, so why in the world should I care?" When a teacher calls repeatedly to meet with the parents or a parent, and the line of communication finally opens, the answer from the parents is, "I've done what I can, it's your turn to fix them." Better yet, many times the answer is "Well, I'll ask their doctor if we can just up their meds, then they'll behave better."

Fortunately, we still have parents who are raising their children in stable, nurturing homes. They discipline their children with love, help them with their homework, back up the teacher's request to help their child excell, take them to social activities and monitor their friendships. The children of these parents are doing the best they can to help grow strong adults, but these children are mixed in with a growing majority of time bombs labeled "troubled students." Plus, depending on what part of the country you live in, throw into this mixture of problem students those who cannot speak English. Not only do we have children in classrooms who are easily distracted, constantly vying for attention (negative mostly), spewing out words of profanity, and dressing like cheap two dollar whores, but we also have those who cannot even read or write in English.

Surprised? This is all sitting in our classrooms daily—our children completely lost and devoid of any chance of understanding why their parents have left them to their own devices. With 28% of our children under the age of 18 living in single parent homes as of 1999, our society has created an atmosphere more often than not that fosters chaos and stress. This is not to say there are not many single parents doing their jobs—some better than two parent households—but the general mirror is a reflection on how many of us as parents are behaving abhorrently.

A group of Oregon scholars recently divulged in the Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing that not only are the risks for mental and emotional disorders increasing, but the number of public age school children are at risk for mental and socioemotional outcomes. This truly is alarming. When the studies compared single parent homes to their married peers, single parent homes were likely to report aggravation in trying to juggle bills, rent, daycare and with all these stresses being handled by a single parent the load at times causes the single parent mental problems. This study showed that children who are now developing these multiple mental health conditions are carrying them to school. Their findings showed at times there's no single parent; in fact, at times there's no parent at all. The Oregon scholars are seeing serious implications in the familial disintegration which has now put six percent of children under the age of eighteen in grandparent-headed households. These grandparents are doing their best to respond to the problems of this parentless generation (brought on by divorce, incarceration, or child abuse), but many of these grandparents are single themselves and therefore more likely to live in poverty.

When did we, as the responsible adults, decide that we'd just give birth to this human being, dress it up, play with it when convenient, call it our son or daughter, and then just hand it over to the world to deal with when we didn't want to deal anymore? How did we become so selfish and self-centered? Where did it become okay not to take care, love and nurture your own flesh and blood? Why, when children misbehave, do we automatically feel we must run to the doctor and demand a pill to control their behaviors? Are we raising a generation of children on "Mother's little helpers?" We must be, because it would seem we don't want to deal with behavioral problems at all.

According to a recent study released by CMDA News and Views on August 19, 2004, ADHD is hard to diagnose, but once diagnosed can be treated. Many of our children may be suffering from bipolar disorder. If we continue to react though to what our public schools report home about behavior problems and not deal directly with the individual patient, we are misdiagnosing and treating unfavorably problems or pseudo problems. Many of the cases of behavior problems can be contributed to substance abuse used by the mother when pregnant or by a chaotic living environment. Our nation is looking at a growing problem of children who are at mental risk.

We know that, at times, some children and adults aren't wired right and they need the help of medicines so they might have the balance to "reconnect" or restore the working of the brains neurons correctly. But it would seem that pill popping our children because we can't cope with being parents has become the 21st century cure-all for discipline. I don't have the time to spank Johnny when he needs it. I don't have the time to sit and help Samantha with her homework. I don't have the time to meet Scott's new friend from school, so he'll just have to go it alone. I don't have time to shop with my daughter, Sheila, so I just give her my credit card and trust her judgement. I, I, I...It's all about "I don't have the time∑" or maybe better yet, "I am just too selfish and I don't deserve these precious gifts that were given to me." Self-centered and parenthood seem to go hand in hand in today's society, so just give my kid a pill. would you?

What do you think these lost children of today are going to do without a loving caregiver? How can we as parents expect anything out of our youth today when we won't invest in them? We'll invest in stocks, plastic surgeries, manicures, dye jobs, shopping excursions, career climbing, sports cars, oversized houses, but we won't invest in our children. We won't invest in the most important production we decide to create. Could it be possible that in order to have overall academic success as well as emotional health that we need to return to marital and family commitments? With a return to stability in the home, where mother and father work together as a unit, could we resolve the explosion of mental and behavioral problems were are seeing in today's youth?

What will happen to these uncared for children of today? What will they become without someone to love them and show them the way? Oh, these kids today, they are survivors. They'll find ways to obtain love: pregnancy out of wedlock, several-times over- abortions. moving from relationship to relationship, drugs, alcohol, psychiatrists' couches, mental hospital wards, performing another Columbine, and quite possibly the sad repeat of the next generation who will be raised to put "I" first before anyone or anything else. To what end will our cities, states, countries, and world reach because no one will take the time to love their children?

Our children are ready and waiting for us. What are we waiting for? Hell and fury, or just the next hour they're scheduled to receive their "magic" pill?

Jonathan David Morris:

Zell Miller: Certifiably Insane

“Time after time in our history, in the face of great danger, Democrats and Republicans worked together to ensure that freedom would not falter,” said Democratic Senator Zell Miller at last week’s Republican National Convention. “Which leader is it today that has the vision, the willpower and, yes, the backbone to best protect my family? The clear answer to that question has placed me in this hall with you tonight. For my family is more important than my party. There is but one man to whom I am willing to entrust their future, and that man’s name is George W. Bush.”

Now, let me tell you something: I actually sort of agree with the senator.

Sort of.

Truth be told, I thought the Republican National Convention was pretty entertaining. At least as far as conventions go, and especially in comparison to its Democratic counterpart, this year’s GOP get-together was really very watchable. Rudy Giuliani and Arnold Schwarzenegger were engaging, if nothing else. The Bush twins were… interesting. And as for the man of the hour, George W. Bush, I wouldn’t be surprised if he won reelection on the strength of his nomination acceptance speech. So overall, I found myself strangely enjoying this convention. But nevertheless, I agree with Senator Miller on at least one thing: Republicans and Democrats ought to drop the “two”-party sham and come “together.” A single, streamlined convention would save taxpayers a fortune.

On the issue of war, however, Senator Miller and I part ways. He thinks we should spend untold billions beefing up our military and conquering foreign countries. And I think he is insane.

Case in point: After speaking before the GOP faithful last Wednesday, Senator Miller went on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” where he became so angry with Chris Matthews’ questions—and pardon-the-interruption style of questioning—that he finally blurted out, all frothy and doglike, “You know, I wish we… I wish we lived in the day where you could challenge a person to a duel.” He then proceeded to talk about getting in Matthews’ face. It was eerily reminiscent of Mike Tyson saying he wanted to eat Lennox Lewis’s children. I mean, for a moment there, Zell Miller was threatening to do more damage than Hurricane Frances. If he were any angrier, a row of feathers would’ve popped out of his hind side, to rival that of the little peacock logo in the corner of my TV screen.

Zell Miller was pissed off that evening. He meant business. And he wasn’t afraid to show it.

But that’s just the thing—that’s why I say he’s insane.

People applaud him for crossing party lines, for leading with his convictions instead of his partisan ties. He says what he means and means what he says, and that’s just great. But do we really want—or need—men as angry as Miller informing our war policy? There’s such a thing as defending one’s family and country. But there’s also such a thing as beating up anybody who’s different or disagrees with you. And based on the way he was ranting and raving on “Hardball,” my guess is it’s the latter now driving Miller’s worldview.

What kind of fruit loop dares an anchor to duel with him anyway? Why stop there? Why not go punch-for-punch with Chris Matthews? Or race him? Or see who can walk the farthest holding the Husafelt stone?

But forget about that for a moment. I don’t want to read into this too deeply. All right, sure, Senator Miller challenged Chris Matthews to a duel, but you know what? Get some people drunk enough and they’ll challenge a chair to a duel, too. So let’s give him the benefit of the doubt here. Let’s say he was caught up in the heat of the moment. Okay. Fine. It’s over and done with. But beyond that, the man’s still out of his mind. Why? Because he suffers from the same mental disorder afflicting most every politician in America: A voice in his brain that keeps telling him, daily, “You know what’s best for everyone else.”

In his speech last week, Miller complained that the Democrats are “motivated more by partisan politics than by national security”—a point which is probably true. But because of this, he says, “today’s Democratic leaders see America as an occupier, not a liberator.” “And nothing makes this Marine madder than someone calling American troops occupiers rather than liberators.”

Yet American troops are occupiers, even if occupation is only—officially—part of the “liberation” process. It takes a total whackjob to deny this. After all, it was just this April when President Bush said of Iraqis, “They’re not happy they’re occupied. I wouldn’t be happy if I were occupied, either.” (A tip of the hat to Jon Stewart for pointing this out.)

The Zellster sees it differently, though. I don’t know him; I don’t know if he thinks might makes right. But if I were a betting man, I would bet Bush’s own use of the word “occupied” doesn’t make a lick of difference to him. He steadfastly believes in our country’s good intentions. He says, “God is not indifferent to America.” And he doesn’t care if a couple of foreigners see us as occupiers, because he thinks we’ll do the right thing if only they step aside and let us.

In other words: Resistance is futile. We’re America. We know what’s best.

“Senator Kerry has made it clear that he would use military force only if approved by the United Nations,” Miller told the convention last week.

How about this: How about we stop using military force for anything other than beating back actual invasions? Defending ourselves is one thing; making the world “safe for democracy” is another. It doesn’t matter if we mean to be occupiers. If American troops are all over the world, folks will inevitably see us that way. This only makes our families less secure. It spins the same wheel which brought about 9/11 in the first place.

But, of course, you’ll never hear this in a major party’s platform. Because that would be truly insane.

SARTRE Encore Presentation from 09-11-01
When Will America Learn?

"It often happens that the real tragedies of life occur in such an inartistic manner that they hurt us by their crude violence, their absolute incoherence, their absurd want of meaning, their entire lack of style."

—Oscar Wilde

thinker2a.gifGravity is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. But it pales in comparison to the insanity that festers in the American Psyche. Wholesale denial will be the legacy of the horror that struck our Nation today. The root cause for evil lies within each person. When its ugly head rises to a height that all can see, we tend to ignore our own complicity. Blame the perpetrators as criminals, as well we should; but most neglect to look within themselves for their unwillingness to confront depravity.

Acceptance of insane Foreign Policy in the name of Patriotism, breeds the ultimate reaction that nature provides. Who among us are surprised? Is there anyone left that can honestly say that America is NOT viewed with the greatest contempt among the most disgruntled elements of terror? Terrorism is wrong. Violence is not justified. But it will become the typical pattern, as long as JUSTICE is viewed through myopic lenses.

It has long been argued that neutrality in Middle East Policy is in the best interest of America. Today that contention is no longer debatable. Continued support for Israel has brought the plague to our shores. It is not only our first born sons who were slaughtered. The lamb of innocence died in the heap of rubble that is now New York City.

When the prospect of death is favored by the zealot, to peaceful coexistence; the consequences can only inflict the most dire outcome. The jihad against the infidel is a direct result of an unholy alliance with a country that inflicts their own form of terror upon a native population. Neither party has any high ground of morality. Both are equally responsible for the suffering and death that this blood feud imposes on a region and now our own land. It is pay back time and we are unwilling to recognize our responsibility for this debt.

thinker2a.gifWhen your leaders wear the mantle of the Zionist, your children will pay. It does not make it right, but that is the tragic reality of blind support for interests that are not our own. Moral outrage is hypercritical when it has been denied for decades. Balance in official policy has never existed, nor has prudence in our own self interest.

Those who wave the 'bloody flag' are the preceptors of mass suicide. Today's causality list will be relegated to an asterisk, when the nukes start to explode. If the world community seeks to unify their 'New World Order' upon the bodies of terrorists that they constructed, we will surely create the seeds of martyrs, for future generations.

When the Ford's, Haig's and Eagleburger's call for swift and strong retribution, be forewarned that the war against America will only intensify. This is not an issue of manhood, but one of endorsing a cause that conflicts with ours. What benefit will any of us see when the landscape of more of our cities resemble that of lower Manhattan?

Will you people ever get it or will it take the funeral of your family to paint the picture for you? If you purport to be patriotic, your duty is to stop support for Israel. Their fight is not yours, but we will pay for their sins. Does this make sense to you?

America will cease to exist when totalitarian measures will be readily accepted by a public who's emotional naiveté will scream for retribution! Folks, the enemy is us; for our involvement in the creation of hostilities that seeks to obliterate our symbols of 'Pax American'.

Israel is not an ally, but is the cause of our sorrow. Wake up America, and divorce this soiled maiden. Does anyone share the pain of the Arab children that are suffering and dying from the one sided policy of U.N. enforcement? Until you acknowledge that Zionism has equal blood on it's hands, you will bleed on your own flag.

The future is NOW! And what you decide will shape its course. It is time for an American First Foreign Policy, that will repudiate the role of a policeman for the world. Think before you demand pay back, for it will blow up in your own face. Recognize the real cause that threatens our country and way of life. Abandon the nation founded on guilt. Blame the terrorists for the body count and hold them accountable. But remove the reason for their hate. If you were part of the fourth world, you just might become your own freedom fighter.

America was suckered into WWII with the treachery of Pearl Harbor. Don't repeat this same mistake and let DEFCON ONE turn into a mushroom cloud that will engulf more then Wall Street. All life is sacred. Resist allowing America from falling into the trap of using their own form of Terror. Demand and establish Justice, and Peace will follow. SHALOM.
