Lady
Liberty
is
not an organization, nor is she a corporation. She is an American woman
who is proud of and grateful for her heritage of freedom, and who fears
the present generation intends to bequeath little of that heritage to
the future. Those fears prompted her political activism, and ongoing
and anti-freedom developments since then have only increased her determination
to do whatever she can to inform and incite activism in others toward
change.
Politically,
Lady
Liberty doesn't wear labels comfortably. If the reader must have some
category in which to place her, she fits most nearly into the Libertarian
mold, though she disagrees with the Libertarian platform on several
salient points. When pressed, she has been known to refer to herself
as a "Constitutional Libertarian" or a "Jeffersonian
libertarian."
As
an activist,
Lady
Liberty has a relatively long history of involvement with a small group
of like-minded friends and acquaintances. She decided to create the
Lady Liberty's Constitution Clearing House web site when, after playing
a small role in several successful lobbying efforts, she realized that
one person can make a difference when that person's involvement gets
other individuals to participate as well. Her stated goal is to call
to others to get involved and to encourage them to stay involved in
the effort to restore as much of our lost freedoms as possible.
Profesionally,
Lady
Liberty is a graphic designer, writer, and editor.
Personally,
Lady
Liberty is a strong and vocal privacy advocate. She will confess, however,
that she currently lives along the Great Lakes shoreline of a midwestern
state with her three cats and an ungodly number of books. Wherever she
resides and whatever her plans for future relocation (you all are aware
of the Free
State Wyoming effort, aren't you?), you can rest assured her crusade
for liberty will go on as long as she does.
